Beaver Fur Stole Converted to Treasured Memory Bear

Beaver Fur Stole Converted to Treasured Memory BearDolores Hattendorf sent a shaved beaver fur stole to have this bear made. She gave us free reign to select the eye color and decide whether or not to use the lining for a scarf. We chose blue eyes because they showed up better against the dark fur and I decided not to use the garment lining for the scarf. We used the lining on the ear and paw pads but it wasn’t the nicest lining so I found a bright, colorful fabric for the scarf.

Fur Jacket is now Two Special Memory Bears

Fur Jacket is now Two Special Memory BearsSusan Rausch sent us a Persian lamb jacket that was once her nana’s to have these two bears made. The jacket had a collar of rabbit fur so we decided to use the rabbit fur on the ears. It makes the ears seem larger, but also makes these bears unique to Susan’s Nana’s coat.

Grandmother’s Fox Fur Coat Recycled Into Memory Bear for Granddaughter

Grandmother's Fox Fur Coat Recycled Into Memory Bear for GranddaughterRachel Gibson sent a fox fur that belonged to her grandmother to have a bear made for her granddaughter. Fox is a challenging fur to work with and this was a small fur so I worked with a smaller bear size than I normally would be willing to do in fox. Much of it had to be hand done because it simply wouldn’t go through my sewing machine (Olga didn’t even want to try and work on this one). I think the end result was enchanting, but this might be the last 12″ bear that I’m going to be willing to do in fox.
