Mary sent her wedding dress from the 1960s to have a christening outfit made for her new granddaughter and any future grandsons. The dress was made of a quality Gaberdine with silk lining and had a relatively straight skirt. To get two outfits from it, we needed to use both the main fabric and the lining fabric. Since there wasn’t any embelishments to the original WD, we added some laces to the christening gown. This also helped keep the gown from looking too heavy.
The outfits just arrived in good shape. The mailman even made us sign for them.
They are gorgeous; she will look like a princess. We will send you comments and pictures later. Thank you so much. Happy new year. Mary
