Molly Earl wanted a number of items made from her wedding dress for the holiday season. Her order came in a little later so we had to hustle to get these done in time for Christmas.
We made a Christmas tree skirt, a tree topper angel, a ring pillow and a garter.
When we made the christening gown from Rachel Serna’s wedding dress, we wanted to capture some of character of the original dress. However, we needed the christening gown to be simpler and we didn’t want to leave raw edges of organza since the goal is to be able to use the gown for many generations.
Donna Taglione wanted to use her wedding dress for gifts to pass on to future generations. She wasn’t interested specifically in christening gowns as much as smaller gifts that she could give to children and grandchildren. We made ring pillows, garters, a pocket square, headbands, bonnets, bibs and tooth fairy pillows.
