Melody Varney sent several shirt to have these two patchwork bears made. The shirts belonged to her mother and father and the bears were being made for her brother and herself. Some of the garments had patches that she asked us to use on the bears as well.
Doris Kaderabek asked us to use the left-over fabric from her first order to make six patchwork bears. Olga ended up cutting over 800 individual pieces to make these bears. However, I think the end result was worth it.
Here is a small photo album of some more of the memory bears we made in November and December. We worked with just about every kind of fabric and fur known to mankind I think.
Ashley Harnisch sent me twelve pieces of clothing her son wore in his first year of life. She wanted a patchwork Teddy bear made from the clothing. She sent pictures with information about what made each piece significant. This bear includes something from each piece....
